PHILLIPS – The Maine Department of Environmental Protection will conduct a public informational meeting at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 2, at Rollo Camp at 4 Glen Dill Shores on Toothaker Pond.

The guest speaker will be Roy Bouchard, a biologist with the Bureau of Land and Water Quality.

Bouchard will discuss the results of two years of comprehensive testing by DEP. Remedies to counteract the algae blooms that have plagued the pond since the early 1960s will also be discussed.
