JAY – Police Sgt. Charles Keene is investigating a report of clothes – men’s, women’s and toddler’s – missing Saturday from a Jay Plaza laundry.
The clothes were left in a dryer at the laundry at Garden Island for about eight hours, Jay Police Chief Larry White Sr. said.
The person reporting the incident valued the clothes at $500, White said.
Police are also looking into a burglary on Main Street. There was no sign of forced entry, but when the occupant returned home the door to the residence was open and $10 was missing from a bureau, White said.
