WINTHROP – The Kennebec Land Trust field trips for July and August have been announced.

July 10: family hike around Nancy’s Bog in the Mount Pisgah Conservation Area from 8 to 10 a.m. Meet at the Mount Pisgah parking lot on the Mount Pisgah Road, Winthrop, to carpool a short distance to the Bog Road. Call Jennifer McLean for directions, 622-9158.

July 31: botanical and historical field walk to the former Besse Homestead in Wayne from 9 to 10:30 a.m. The tour is limited to 20. Call the KLT office to register and for directions at 377-2848.

Aug. 7: Cobbossee canoe paddle trip from 9 to 11 a.m. Bring your own boat, paddle and PFD. Contact the KLT office to register and for more information and directions: 377-2848.

Aug. 7: Great Wayne Fair outing. A guided walk to the Gott Pasture Preserve from 9 to 10:30 a.m. The hike to the pond is moderate, but is not on a trail. Call the KLT for information and directions at 377-2848.

Aug. 22: Kennebec Land Trust annual meeting and field trips.

September: Autumn Family Walk to the new KLT MacDonald Woods.
