LEWISTON – Jeannette A. Painchaud, 92, of Brunswick, died Wednesday, July 7, at Marshwood Center.

She was born June 5, 1912, in Cap St. Ignace, Quebec, Canada, a daughter of Wilfrid A. and Rose M. Fortin Painchaud.

She moved to Rhode Island, with her family in 1924, and later to Brunswick.

In February 1941, she married Leo Painchaud and they made their home in Brunswick.

Mrs. Painchaud worked at the Verney Mill until its closing and then worked at Health-Tex until her retirement.

She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church and a member of the Third Order of Mary.

Mrs. Painchaud was a devoted wife and mother, and caring for her family and home fulfilled her life. She was also an avid Red Sox fan.

Survivors include two sons, Paul Painchaud and his wife, Jeannette of Midwest City, Okla., and George Painchaud and his wife, Linda of Sabattus; three sisters, Rollande Lavoie of Brunswick, Irma McCarthy of Topsham, and Irene Fournier of Woonsocket, R.I.; four brothers, Bertrand Caron, Amable Caron, both of Brunswick, Fernand Caron of Biddeford, and Conrad Caron of Worchester, Mass.; a brother-in-law, Ludger Berube of Brunswick; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband June 12, 1984; five sisters, Simone Deschene, Marie-Laure Fournier, Armandine Doyon, Valeda Caron and Marie Berube; and three brothers, Rev. Gerard Caron, Roland Caron and Adelard Caron.
