Congratulations to all the racers and many thanks from race organizer Faye Brown to the family members and friends who handcraft the first place awards, fold the shirts, make all the sandwiches fresh on race day, deliver the drinks for the thirsty paddlers, lend timing devices, carry the tables, time the racers and record the results. Thanks to the media for all the great publicity. It is a fun time, and we were pleased to get several offers of help to take over some of the tasks for next year and keep this event going. Special thanks to our sponsors, Drs. John Bianchi and Paul Triggianni and Miller Hydro Group. Thanks also to the Androscoggin Sheriff’s Department for safety on the river, the Lisbon Fire Department, Lisbon Emergency and to Florida Power and Light for opening the gates and giving us water.
