LISBON – Lisbon police are looking for the owners of a wide range of items with an estimated value of $1,000 that have been recovered but, so far, not reported stolen, said Detective Bernard McAllister.
“We’re trying to get things such as CDs, global-positioning systems, money, bikes and cameras back to their rightful owners,” McAllister said Tuesday.
Police say the items were stolen from cars in the Summer Street area of Lisbon Falls on the evening of July 7 or in the early morning hours of July 8.
As the result of an investigation by officers Jason St. Pierre and Jeff Picard, and Sgt. Scott Stewart, two juveniles were apprehended in connection with the car burglaries, he said. Goods valued at about $1,200 were recovered.
Between 10 and 15 cars were burglarized, but police so far have received only three reports: about one car that was ransacked and two others from which goods were stolen.
Since police are holding “lots of other things,” they’re are asking anyone who had items taken from their vehicles during that period to call McAllister at 353-2500 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays.
