LEWISTON – Sixteen managers and supervisors of Geiger will be improving their leadership skills after completing a 14-session Quality Management Skills Program.

The associates who graduated from QMS are Andy Palange, Carolyn Gauthier, Christine Thurm, Jackie Fox, Julie Lunt-Farley, Kathy Fulton, Kim Beaudin, Louise Michaud, Mac Young, Peter Zeiger, Ramona Naragon, Ray Bergeron, Rob Herman, Trudy Bickford.

Geiger’s Executive Management Team and Human Resources staff originally began rolling out the development program to managers and supervisors in 2002 when they received over $30,000 in funding through the Governor’s Training Initiative program to help defray the cost of the program. For the 2004 session, the GTI has approved funding of approximately $7,000 to help Geiger with the cost of additional training material and trainer costs.

On May 11, hourly associates completed an eight-week course in Geiger Quality Training. The course is taught by a team of Geiger Training Facilitators. Among the graduates are Angimarie Manter, Blaine Martineau, Bob Cropley, Brady Ellingwood, Cheryl Morin, Dawn Turcotte, Gloria Bryant, Jeff Pendexter, Kelly Barclay, Kimberly Jackson, Mariea Ramsey, Nancy Toutain, Priscilla Kistner, Thom Palmer, Tracey Laprise and Wade Walker.
