DURHAM – An Auburn man was injured in a collision with another vehicle Wednesday night on Route 136.
Injured in the 9:05 p.m. accident was Derek R. Arthur, 23, of Park Avenue, Auburn, whose car collided with a pickup truck, according to Sgt. Jim Jacques of the Androscoggin Sheriff’s Department.
Arthur was taken to Central Maine Medical Center and a spokesperson there said he was treated and released.
Driving the pickup was Joshua D. Henderson, 27, of 218 Water St., Gardiner.
According to Jacques, Arthur was driving south on Route 136 when his vehicle crossed the center line, sideswiping Henderson’s pickup, which was approaching from the opposite direction.
Auburn Police assisted with traffic at the scene, as did Durham Fire and Rescue.
Route 136 was closed to traffic for an hour. Damage to Henderson’s 1993 Ford pickup and Arthur’s 1991 Honda Civic were estimated at $3,000 each.
