It has been brought to my attention that a group of people who work every day under circumstances that would make many quit and give up, need to be noticed for their great dedication to us all.

These people are our state workers, and mostly I am talking right now about, but not limited to, the human services workers.

These people see conditions and bear pains of a society in need of a lot of work.

We need to not only appreciate them, but to say thank you for caring.

Just like our police and fire departments, they go on and serve and protect, most times without fanfare and where no one sees.

I would like to say to our fine state workers, thank you for all your kind service.

You are noticed, you’re appreciated. We need you. If goodness could speak, it would say in loud applause, “More, more hooray.”
