PORTLAND – Hilda G. Mullen, 95, of 50 New Portland Road, Gorham, died Sunday, July 18, at Mercy Hospital.

She was born in Auburn on Nov. 1, 1908, the daughter of George and Claudia (Thibault) St. Pierre. On June 10, 1935, she married Augustine F. Mullen who died in Nov. 22, 1985.

She was a homemaker where she raised her four children. She was an avid gardener, extensive needle worker including crocheting and knitting, she also enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Ann Lovegrove, of Madison, Wis., and Bernadine and her husband, Patrick Frias, of Gorham; two sons, George and his wife, Jean, of Chula Vista, Calif., and Peter Mullen, of Portland; three sisters, Claudia L’Heureux, of Augusta, Patricia and her husband, Maurice L’Heureux, of Villa Park, Ill., and Mary St. Pierre, of Auburn; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by one brother, John St. Pierre; and a sister, Irene St. Pierre.
