PARIS – Celebration Barn Theater is hosting an evening of storytelling with Antonio Rocha and Milbre Burch on Friday, July 30. The performance begins at 8 p.m., doors open at 7:30 p.m.
Burch is known for her repertoire of world folk tales, her interpretations of Jane Yolen stories, her use of first person narrative and dramatic monologue, and her crafting of personal stories interwoven with tales from legend and lore.
She tours her one-woman shows as Theatre of the Spoken Word. An award-winning performer and recording artist, a published poet and author, and a teacher of her craft, Burch was born in Atlanta.
Joining her will be storyteller and mime Antonio Rocha.

A Brazil native, Rocha began performing in 1985. In 1988, he received a Partners of the Americas grant to come to the United States to perform and to deepen his mime skills with Tony Montanaro.
Since then, he’s earned a bachelor’s degree in theater summa cum laude theater from the University of Southern Maine and studied with master Marcel Marceau.
Rocha has performed solo shows of stories and mime from Singapore to Vancouver.
He’s also performed at The Kennedy Center and The Smithsonian Institution. Tickets are $10 for adults, and $8 for children 12 and under.
Reservations are required and may be made by calling the box office, 743-8452.
