ORONO – The University of Maine has named Lynn Theehs head volleyball coach. Theehs had been head coach for 10 seasons at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, leading her teams to nine NCAA Division II Tournament appearances and reaching the Elite Eight four times.

“Lynn is a great addition to our University,” said Director of Athletics Patrick Nero. “She brings tremendous skills to our volleyball program, not only as a very successful coach but also as an educator and a leader. We believe she will have a very positive impact on the students she leads.”

While at Edinboro, Theehs was named Conference Coach of the Year five times. She has coached four National Players of the Year. Theehs has compiled a 236-111 record at Edinboro and a 264-158 career record in 12 seasons as a head coach.
