AUBURN – The YMCA Road Rules campers recently spent a day of horseback riding at Carousel Horse farm in Casco.
Road Rules is a teen adventure camp in which the YMCA promotes character development that focuses on the basic values of the YMCA: caring, honesty, respect and responsibility, while doing a different adventure every day. Other day trips they have done or will do this summer include hiking the mountains of Maine and New Hampshire, baseball games, whale watching, canoeing and trips to the ocean.
The camp is open to young people ages 12 to 16 (must be entering seventh grade). The camp will run Monday to Friday through Aug. 13. Space is limited to 18 kids a session.
To register, stop by the Auburn-Lewiston YMCA, 62 Turner St. For more information on Road Rules, contact Matt Sellinger, youth/teen director, at 795-4095 or e-mail [email protected].
