JAY – Marcy Alves of Frontline Ministries, Concord, N.H., will be guest speaker at the Tuesday, Aug. 3, meeting of Western Mountain Women’s Connection and WMW After 5 at LaFleur’s Restaurant.

Alves uses music and humor to relay hope, joy and excitement in a relationship with God. A luncheon back-to-school fashion show with Fashion Bug attire will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and an evening fashion show and dinner from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Reservations are essential by calling Jane at 645-2282 or Laurie at 369-0068 for lunch and Ada at 778-4217 or Erica at 562-7259 for dinner.

Alves has recorded seven albums and a children’s musical drama, “Real Things,” co-written with her husband, David. Alves has performed concerts on the Eastern Coast, Midwest, Canada, Haiti, Australia and Brazil, using her concert work to raise money for World Vision International for world hunger.

Western Mountain Women’s Connection and WMW After 5 are affiliated with Stonecroft Ministries, which is an international organization with 1,500 groups in the United States and Canada and 80 in foreign countries.
