LEWISTON – Lance Vallee held on to win the 2004 Apple Valley Cup, beating Norm Bellemare in the final 18-hole match play event. Vallee, ahead by 5 holes at the turn, added to his lead by winning the 10th hole. Bellemare chipped away at the lead by winning the next 4 holes. Down 1 on #18, Bellemare could only halve the hole, giving Vallee the win, 1-up.
