ROSEVILLE, Calif. – Dorothy McAllister Ellis, 89, of Rocklin, Calif., formerly of Auburn, died July 24.

Born on Sept. 23, 1914, she was the daughter of Clinton and Velma McAllister of Auburn. She was employed for many years at General Mills and Bates Manufacturing Co. as a bookkeeper.

She was a member of The Friends of the Rocklin Library and the Rocklin Historical Society.

She is survived by her son, Richard K. Glover of Solebury, Pa.; three stepchildren, Marie Chaney, of Groton, Conn., Elaine Grenier, of Lexington Twp, and David Ellis, of Westerly, R.I.; nine stepgrand- children; and nine stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband of 24 years, Glenn C Ellis, formerly of Gardiner, April 30, 1981.
