LEWISTON – Miriam F. Blair, 76, of Mechanic Falls died Monday, July 26, at Central Maine Medical Center.
She was born in Norway on March 3, 1928, the daughter of Philip W. and Ethel L. Walker Prince. She graduated from Mechanic Falls High School in 1946.
She was employed as a payroll clerk for B.E. Cole and Francine Shoe companies in Norway from 1949 to 1954. She worked at Waterfalls Tissue Co. in Mechanic Falls from 1955 until her retirement in 1978.
She was a member of the Mechanic Falls Methodist Church. She enjoyed skiing, boating and playing cards. She married Ellsworth W. Blair in October of 1946.
She is survived by her husband of Mechanic Falls; a sister, Thelma Hedges of Syracuse, N.Y.; two nephews, Christopher Hedges and his wife, Kim, of New Jersey, and Jeffrey Hedges and his wife, Sondra, of Wisconsin; a niece, Miriam Fagre and her husband, Charles, of Missouri; and four grandnieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Maurice J. Prince.
