ROCKLAND – The Farnsworth Art Museum’s CurioArtsity Camp will be held Monday through Friday, Aug. 9 through 13.

The morning session for children age 5 through 7 will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. A snack will be provided. Cost for the morning session is $60 for children of museum members and $65 for children of nonmembers.

The all-day session for children age 8 through 12 will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. A morning snack will be provided, and campers should bring a sack lunch. Cost for the full day of camp activities is $120 for children of museum members and $125 for children of nonmembers.

Campers will learn and create through a variety of media. Activities will be held in the classroom, in the museum gardens and under the tent. Scholarships are available. To register or for more information, call the Farnsworth at 596-6457.

Contest is open

AUGUSTA – The Committee on Women’s Activities of the Maine State Grange is accepting entries for its annual needlework and craft contests, open to Grange members and nonmembers, adults and children.

Poetry workshop

BATH – “Shooting the Ceiling – A Poetry Workshop to Help You Find and Keep Your Audience” will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 14, at the Maine Writers and Publisher’s Alliance office.

The workshop will be led by Michelle Lewis. It is a good workshop for beginner or intermediate poets, those revisiting poetry or those working in other genres. Participants should bring 10 copies of a poem.

Cost is $55 for alliance members, $75 for nonmembers. Preregistration is required. Call MWPA at 386-1400 to register.
