FARMINGTON – The meaning of summer fun has been captured in grand style by local residents featured in the community photography exhibit at Franklin Memorial Hospital.

On a wall in the new front lobby, 20 photographs framed in various sizes express the theme. On it are pictures of swimming, sailing, fishing and lobster.

The exhibit, “A Moment in Time,” represents the work of greater Franklin County photographers. Every few months the exhibit and theme changes – putting on display pictures of children, parents and home.

Photo selections now on display were made based on artistic value, quality, diversity and consistency with the theme.

They include: “Yeehaw” by Chris Park; “Summer Giggles” by Deborah Baxter; “Mom, Take Me for a Ride!” by Gina Hobert; “Waiting for Mine” by Walter Mularz; “What a Feeling” by Dee Robinson; “You Want Me to Eat This?” by Gina Hobert; “Bubbles” by Elayne Ladd; “Feed Your Friends” by Jennie Hinkley; “Mike in Iraq” by an unknown soldier.

Also, “Reflections” by Carol Perreault; “Up! Up! and Away” by Jesse Creamer; “Splash” by Paula Roy; “Cooling Off” by Terri Pierce; “Andrea and Duke” by Deanna McClure; “Fields of Gold” by Bryn Doiron; “Lil Tumbler” by Sandy Harris; “The Catch of the Day” by Carol Martineau; “Sophie in the Sun” by Tami Wentworth; “Where’d Everybody Go?” by Julie Sawyer; and “Moving” by Walter Mularz.

Winning photos can also be seen on the Franklin Community Health Network Web site at www.fchn.org.

Anyone who submitted a photo that was not selected may pick it up at the hospital’s front desk.

The next exhibit, on the theme “Parents,” has an entry deadline of Oct. 1. Anyone living in Franklin Memorial’s service area is eligible to submit two photographs. Each photograph should be unframed and have a completed entry form attached. The form is available by calling 779-2555 or it can be printed from the Web site.

Entries should be directed to the community relations office, Franklin Memorial Hospital, 111 Franklin Health Commons, Farmington, ME 04938. For more information, contact Jill Gray at 779-2555.
