FARMINGTON – Jane Corrigan Ellis, 57, of Wilton, died Monday, Aug. 2, at Franklin Memorial Hospital. She was born in Farmington, April 10, 1947, a daughter of Francis and Carolyn Orr Corrigan and received her education in Wilton schools, graduating from Wilton Academy.
She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years at Franklin Memorial Hospital, Edgewood Manor, and Sandy River Nursing Care Center as well as helping many families in the Farmington, Wilton, and Dixfield area, caring for their loved ones.
She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Wilton and later at St. Joseph’s in Farmington. She was active in the bowling league for many years. She enjoyed flower gardening, canoeing, needlepoint, and being with her family.
She is survived by her husband, John, of Wilton, whom she married on July 12, 1984; her father, Francis Corrigan, of Wilton; a sister, Linda Corrigan Jackson and her husband, Willard, of Lewiston; four stepchildren, Sue Briggs and her husband, Dwight, of Mexico, Steve Ellis and his wife, Barbara, of Windham, Linda Ellis, of Mexico, and Lori Gatlin, of North Carolina; a godchild, Deedra Langelier, of Lewiston; her best friend, Lucille Hanson, of Wilton; six stepgrandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; five nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her mother, Carolyn on July 28, 1996; and a stepgrandson, Benjamin Ellis on Sept. 21, 2001.
