I live on Scribner Boulevard in Lewiston, and I cannot believe the audacity of people. I have a garden in front of my house, and people will walk up and steal my flowers. It is bad enough that people will throw their trash and beer bottles out of their car windows, but to steal from a person’s garden? I put a lot of time and money into growing those flowers, and I don’t have a lot of time because I am a college student, plus I work. I also have a family to care for.

I am constantly picking up bottles and trash on my lawn from these inconsiderate people.

I am wondering, what has happened? Why do people vandalize and steal other people’s property? Whatever happened to showing respect and courtesy to others? Why don’t people leave what isn’t theirs alone?

If I could put up a six-foot fence around the property, I would.

This just gets me very angry and makes me wonder what this world is coming to
