FARMINGTON – “Affluenza” has been described as an epidemic of stress, waste, overconsumption and environmental decay. After viewing a video called “Escape from Affluenza” last spring, a group has decided to meet to discuss what they could do to reduce their consumption, decrease waste and help the environment.
The group will hold a meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, in Room 217, Ricker Addition on the University of Maine at Farmington campus. It is open to the public and all are welcome.
Members of the Western Mountains Peace Action Workshop will facilitate the discussion. More information may be obtained by calling Eileen Liddy at 645-4755.
