I am a 13-year-old young lady who is disgusted with the immodesty of society’s role models. I refuse to be influenced by today’s singers, actresses and models. It frustrates me that I can’t go into a local department store to spend my baby-sitting money on something decent. These clothes are too tight, too short and very revealing. I believe the clothes you wear tell a lot about you. I don’t want to be considered trashy.
I am a decent young lady. Is it a crime to want to look decent? I’m glad my role models are my grandmothers, not Madonna and Britney Spears. I hope these department stores will consider offering a better variety of clothing styles for young ladies.
