LEWISTON – The St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center Visiting Artist Gallery is featuring Lisa L. Dixon during August.
The Lewiston woman is a four-year graduate student of the University of Maine at Augusta and an avid outdoorswoman. She spends as much time as possible in the Maine woods kayaking, hiking and fishing, with her camera by her side. Moose watching is one of her favorite times.
Dixon’s images of Maine wildlife and natural beauty include a collection of film, digital and creative digital photographs of deer, moose, eagles and Mount Katahdin. They have been displayed at Central Maine Medical Center, Mr. Paperback, Wisdom Center, in northern Maine and in Cape Cod.
Dixon continues to pursue a part-time career in nature and wildlife photography she now calls Shoot for Maine. It is her intention to inspire others to seek out, enjoy and preserve Maine’s nature and wildlife.
Shoot for Maine Photography is invested in protecting and preserving Maine’s natural places and wildlife through pro bono services related to wildlife conservation. Eventually Dixon hopes to turn her passion into a full-time profession.
