RICHMOND – A public workshop to benefit the Umberhine Library Building Fund will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 14, at the People Skills Training Center, Main Street.
“Learn How to Read People” will help participants understand people who differ from them and learn about personality style. Seating is limited to 20. A cost of $25 is payable to the Isaac F. Umberhine Public Library.
Auto display
POLAND SPRING – The Poland Spring Preservation Society announces its first antique auto display to be held on the grounds of the Poland Spring Resort from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21.
Named in honor of the late Hartwell Pratt, an antique car enthusiast and donor to the work of the preservation society, the display will feature vintage Model T’s, Franklins, Chevys and Packards.
In addition, the Poland Community Church will sponsor a Blueberry Festival on the hill. For more information, contact the Poland Spring Preservation Society at 998-4142.
