CANTON – Larry R. St. Laurent, 76, died Wednesday, Aug. 11, at Victorian Villa Nursing Home where he had resided for nine years.

He was born on April 29, 1928, in Lewiston and attended the schools of Sabattus and Lewiston. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II stationed in Europe.

He had worked as a restaurant manager in California, for 12 years before returning to Maine. He also worked as an auto mechanic and driver for Tuttle’s Auto in Farmington.

He enjoyed stock car racing and singing in a local band in Chesterville, having played at the Eagles Club in Rumford and also at the Victorian Villa Nursing Home.

He is survived by a son, David St. Laurent and his wife, Christie, of Farmington; a daughter; and grandchildren.
