RUMFORD – Terrie Anne Bennett of Bethel has been hired as the new general manager of Black Mountain.

Bennett, who was born and raised in Montreal, officially started her duties on Aug. 1. She has a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor of arts degree in anthropology from the State University of New York. She has been in the ski industry for 12 years and is an active member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America.

She is a certified USSA Alpine Ski racing coach, and has coached able-bodied and disabled athletes at many levels.

Bennett is also an American Council on Exercise certified personal trainer.

She is a graduate of the Maine Development Foundation’s Leadership Maine program, which is designed to build a broader pool of talented leaders in Maine to shape our state’s future.
