LIVERMORE FALLS – Livermore Falls police received reports of theft and criminal mischief in the past several days.

In an odd incident, a Mongoose bicycle taken from a residence on Vine Street sometime before 10:30 a.m. Saturday was inexplicably replaced by a different bicycle, according to Livermore Falls Police Chief Ernest Steward Jr.

Also, there are no suspects in the theft of a lawnmower and gas can from a mobile home on West Loop off Route 106, he said. That theft was reported Saturday morning and is believed to have occurred between Wednesday and Saturday.

A bottle was thrown through the rear window of a pickup truck parked on Church Street sometime Friday night or early Saturday morning.

“It was a random act of criminal mischief,” said Steward.
