FARMINGTON – Two graduate-level courses in special education will be offered at the University of Maine at Farmington campus.
The courses are part of a collaboration between UMF and the University of Southern Maine to help meet the need for special education teachers in the state and expand the knowledge of K-12 teachers who need to work with special needs children.
The courses are “Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports” and “Methods of Teaching Mathematics for Students with Special Needs.”
The behavioral class will be held Thursdays from 4 to 6:30 p.m. starting Sept. 2. The math class will be offered Tuesdays from 4 to 6:15 p.m., starting Sept. 7.
