In my June 11 letter “wrong fears,” I wrote, “The greatest fears we are facing will not be done by terrorists. It will come by the deadly forces of Mother Nature. Within seconds, whole cities can be destroyed.”

Welcome to reality. I think that cause and effect are the laws of nature. We need to stop and think about the people of Iraq. They have been bombarded for more than a year by American troops. Why? President Bush declared an “unjust war” on Iraq. Bush wanted Saddam Hussein out. His wish was granted. Why are we still there? The lives of nearly 1,000 young Americans have been “aborted.” This, coming from a president who opposes abortions.

The state of Florida granted this “war president” his presidency. Now that Charley has made his destructive way through Florida, Bush will do whatever he can to rebuild it before the November elections.
