LEWISTON – Dr. and Mrs. Douglas Merrill of Wells are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Kate Merrill of Wells, to Douglas Carl Dumont of Standish, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis G. Dumont of Lewiston.
Miss Merrill is a 2003 graduate of the University of Southern Maine with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and criminology. She is currently attending the University of New England for a master’s degree in social work.
Mr. Dumont is a 2003 graduate of the University of Southern Maine with a bachelor’s degree in history. He is currently employed as assistant manager at Starbucks in Portland.
The wedding will be held at 1 p.m. on Oct. 9 at the Wells Congregational Church, with a reception to follow in Wells.
