PORTLAND – Edward Dale Kingsbury, Sr., 64, of Biddeford, died early Saturday morning, Aug. 21, at the Maine Medical Center, in Portland.

He was born, Aug. 6, 1940, in Rumford, a son of Wendall and Ruby (Jameson) Kingsbury. He attended Peru and Rumford schools. In June of 1962, he married, Carole Dakin in Dixfield.

Mr. Kingsbury enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps serving three years before joining the U.S. Air Force, in which he served for 20 years. He travelled throughout the world serving his country including, Vietnam, Alaska, Greenland and all through the United States.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brothers and travelling to Florida and Tennessee to visit family, especially his granddaughters.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years; three sons, Edward, Jr. and his wife, Kellie, of Knoxville, Tenn., Stephan Michael and Daniel Francis, both of York; three granddaughters, Taylor, Haley, and Hannah, of Knoxville, Tenn.; four brothers, Garold Kingsbury, of Marblehead, Mass., Leon Errington, of Portland, David and Rodney Errington, both of West Peru.
