LEWISTON – Cavalier Towne and Country Club Bingo has awarded $500 beano sports scholarships to 13 area high school seniors who have been accepted to college in the fall.

Each senior chosen completed an application, an essay and excelled in sports and academics. The sports scholarship funds are raised by the club’s bingo nights on Canal Street on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evenings. Winners are as follows:

Brandon Thomas Kelly will attend the University of Maine at Farmington; Angela St. Hilaire, University of New England, Westbrook; Matthew Dumais, Thomas College, Waterville; Emily K. Kritzman, University of Maine at Farmington; Brandon Elie, University of Maine at Presque Isle; Jason Rose, Central Maine Community College, Auburn; and Valerie Renault attending University of New England, Westbrook.

Also, Jennifer L. Gleason, Thomas College; Shawn T. Longley, Western New England College, Springfield, Mass.; Trisha Lynn Stevens, Central Maine Medical Center School of Nursing, Lewiston; Ashley Marie Cyr, University of New England, Westbrook; Cassie Phillips, Wentworth Institute of Technology, Boston, Mass.; and Daniel R. Bolduc, Hawaii Pacific University, Honolulu, Hawaii.

Club officers making the announcement were Linda M. Verrill, secretary and scholarship committee chairwoman; Dick Laliberte, treasurer and bingo manager; Norm DuBois, president; and Jan Beaudoin, vice president.
