PARIS – Members of the Swingin’ Bears Square Dance Club met for an outing at the home of John and Judy Thompson in Waterford on Aug. 8.

They finalized plans for their club’s 40th anniversary celebration. The dance will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, at Oxford Hills High School. Lori Morin and John Thompson will call the squares to the live music of the five-piece Sacarappa Band. Carol Stewart will cue the rounds. The charge is $12 per couple. Non square dancers are invited to observe the dancing and view the history display free. All past members of the Swingin’ Bears are invited to help celebrate. Soft soled shoes are required.

The refreshment committee is headed by Ann Robinson of Norway and Cathy Thorpe of Auburn. Dick Deans of Hebron is in charge of floral decorations.
