LISBON FALLS – Ronald R. Call Sr., 70, of Main Street Lisbon Falls, died at his home Saturday, Aug. 28, with his family by his side.

He was born in Portsmouth, N.H. on March 19, 1934, the son of Edward and Thelma (Dixon)

Ronald graduated from high school and made his career in the United States Army, having served in Germany, Korea, and Vietnam. He spent 33 years serving his country and retired in 1985.

On August 3, 1964, Ron married the former Mary Cournoyer and started their journey together which would last for more than 40 years.

Mr. Call belonged to the Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 9459, the American Legion Post 158, the Slovak Club, and the Left Hand Club.

Ron was an avid collector of frogs and Budweiser memorabelia. He was a passionate New England Patriots fan and enjoyed traveling, playing darts on the VFW league, and was a great story-teller and historian.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Mary; five sons, Ronald Jr., of Lisbon Falls, Michael and his wife, Beth, of Lisbon, John and his wife, Lisa, David, and Timothy, each of Lisbon Falls; eight grandchildren, Kortney, Mike, Justin, Jake, Matt, Mickayla, Adam, and Jessica; his sisters, Jeannette, Nancy, Sheila, Donna, Kathy, and Susan; brothers, Edward, James, Frank, Raymond, Leonard, and Terry; and also many aunts, uncles, neices, and nephews.
