With the national political conventions now behind them, President Bush and his Democratic challenger, Sen. John Kerry were back on the campaign trail Friday. Bush hailed a slight decline in unemployment as a sign of a strengthening economy. Kerry countered that the president’s term will end with a net loss of jobs.
