LEWISTON – Armand R. “China” Lemieux, 75, of 102 Campus Ave., Lewiston, died Tuesday evening, Sept. 7, at d’Youville Pavilion, following a long illness.

Born in Lewiston, Feb. 19, 1929, the son of Albert and Wilhemine (Caron) Lemieux, he had been a resident of this community all of his life.

Mr. Lemieux was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army in the European Theatre of Operations.

He was employed as a firefighter in the city of Lewiston for over 26 years, until his retirement. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Church.

He is survived by cousins.
