DERBY, Conn. – Matilda B. Hricko, 85, of Holbrook Road, Seymour entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, Sept. 7, at the Griffin Hospital with her loving husband of 63 years, Michael Hricko at her side.

She was born in Seymour on Jan. 29, 1919, daughter of Joseph and Mary Jadach Bomba. She was a lifelong resident of Seymour who was active in the Seymour Senior Center, Oxford Grange and the Slovak Garden Club in Winter Park, Fla.

She was an avid stamp collector and a member of the Shelton Stamp Club and AARP. She was an excellent cook and baker and enjoyed sewing and making clothing for her grandchildren who she cherished.

Mrs. Hricko is the beloved mother of Michael Hricko, of Minot; sister of Stephen, Edward and Eugene Bomba, Sally Bomba and Alfreda Garbien; and proud grandmother of Emily, Carolyn and Victoria Hricko and Justin Markou.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Beverly Elizabeth Washburn, a grandson, Jason Markou, four brothers, John, Stanley, Walter and Theodore Bomba, and one sister, Victoria Kozak.
