DIXFIELD – The family of Wilfred and Ida Lemay Richard held a reunion July 17 at Welch’s Campground. About 100 family members attended and enjoyed a potluck dinner.

Traveling the furthest was Erin Buck Stadley, who came from Bronschoffen, Switzerland. Corsages and boutonnieres were presented to sons and daughters of Wilfred and Ida.

There was music, bocci and swimming. The event was organized by the Ivon and Irene Richard Gallant family.

The next reunion will be in July 2006.

Reed family

HEBRON – The descendants of Mary Elizabeth and Charles Franklin Reed held a reunion on Aug. 8 at the home of Richard and Jane Hatch. There were 41 family members in attendance.

After a picnic lunch, a meeting was conducted by President Joyce Poole. It was voted to hold next year’s reunion at the same place. Officers elected for the ensuing year were: President, Jane Hatch; vice president, Sherry Giberti; secretary, Norma Gilbert; treasurer, Shirley Hatch. Activities included games and a pie-eating contest with prizes awarded to winners.

Members attended from Lewiston, Leeds, Livermore, Wales, Auburn, Livermore Falls, Litchfield, Buckfield, Greene, Hebron, Jay, South Berwick, Lisbon, Poland and Danvers, Mass.
