DURHAM, N.H. (AP) – University of New Hampshire students are being warned to lock their dorm room doors after several reports of theft and intruder sightings.

The sightings and cash thefts have all happened at Stoke Hall – a women’s dormitory. Students say they saw a man leaving their rooms as they returned home.

The suspect is described as 5-foot-9, in his 30s and having “scraggly hair.”

Police are investigating, but Stoke Hall director Brian Williams said he doesn’t believe the intruder intends to assault anyone. Williams is warning students not to let strangers into the building and to keep their valuables out of sight.
