During these times of conflict and wars in foreign lands, I am writing to express my opinion, which I feel has been earned.
When it was my brother’s turn, he went and served in World War II, flying a B-17 bomber. When it was my turn, I fought in Korea, made the Inchon landing and managed to survive the Chosin Reservoir campaign. My brother-in-law was proud to take his turn and was killed by a land mine in Vietnam.
We all stood up as men, and were proud to serve our country when duty called. We did not join the National Guard to avoid being drafted, as our now so-called Commander in Chief George W. Bush did. In my opinion, he is not much of a man. His actions are more in line with the actions of what a coward would do.
