Having watched both conventions, I have finally seen a difference between the Democrats and the Republicans in terms of fiscal approaches.
With the Republicans, we have a borrow-and-spend approach.
We are now a debtor nation. About 40 percent of these debts are to foreign nations. They are scheduled to be paid by future generations.
With the Democrats, we have a tax-and-spend approach. We spend according to our income and minimize the amount of debt, which must be paid by future generations.
I do not understand why the Republicans’ approach is referred to as conservative. If I conducted my finances in this manner, I would be considered irresponsible.
The Democrats win my vote on this subject.
