NORWAY – A fall reading and discussion series will be offered at the Norway Memorial Library on three Thursday evenings.
The series is titled “Crisis and Faith: Issues in French Literature.” The public is welcome to participate.
The reading selection for the first meeting on Sept. 23 is Gustave Flaubert’s novella “A Simple Heart.” This early work of realism examines the life of a domestic servant in 19th century France.
The second reading is Moliere’s satirical play “Tartuffe” on Oct. 14.
The last reading is Nobel Prize winner Albert Camus’ novel “The Stranger” on Nov. 4.
All discussions will begin at 6:30 p.m. Books for the series may be purchased at the library. People may obtain more information or buy a book by calling 743-5309.
