LEWISTON – Shapes Express, the women’s fitness studio at 895 Lisbon St., has recently changed hands.

Lorraine Fontaine, the former owner of Nutcracker Sweets, has purchased Shapes Express, an aerobic exercise facility that is located in the same building the candy store once occupied. She has spent the past few months refurbishing the facility.

To celebrate the change in ownership and the renovated facilities, Fontaine is holding an open house and wellness clinic this Friday and Saturday, Sept. 17 and 18. The wellness clinic will include free blood pressure readings, free chair massages, free weight and body mass analysis, along with free refreshments and free workouts.

Information and displays will be available on physical fitness and health, and walking and hiking. Gift memberships and Shapes Express T-shirts will be awarded at the end of the Saturday session.

Shapes Express is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday 7 a.m. to noon.
