USA Hockey is planning 4 more ice hockey referee seminars in Maine.

The day-long seminars are designed to train new officials and refresh current referees. The training is a prerequisite to certification by USA Hockey, the governing body that most youth hockey games are played under.

The seminars begin at 9 a.m. Skates and a helmet are required.

Following are the seminar dates: Saturday, Sept. 25, King Middle School, Portland; Sunday, Oct. 3, William Cohen Center, Hallowell; Saturday, Oct. 9, Houlton Ice Arena (10 a.m.); Sunday, Oct. 10, Brewer High School.

Maranacook sign-ups

KENTS HILL – Maranacook area youth hockey registration will be held Saturday, Sept. 18 from 12 noon to 3 p.m. at Kents Hill Ice Arena.

Insurance information must be presented at time of registration. Open skate for all registered players will also be held.
