AUBURN – Central Maine Community College is offering a quality improvement associate course designed to prepare participants for the course exam. The program will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursdays and 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays, Oct.. 2 through Nov. 4. The cost of $450 includes materials.

This 30-hour program will cover certification overview, quality concepts and principals, quality benefits and philosophies, team roles and responsibilities, team formation and dynamics, continuous improvement, basic quality tools, quality management tools and customer supplier relationships.

The program will be facilitated by W. Norris Dale. He has held positions of quality engineer and quality manager for 20 years and has taught college statistics, design of experiments, ISO 9000, TQM, and certified quality improvement associate preparation.

He is certified by the Registrar Accreditation Board as a quality management system auditor. He holds ASQ certifications as quality engineer, quality auditor and quality manager.
