LEWISTON – Rita O. Rancourt, 78, a resident of 25 Upland Road, Lisbon, died early Tuesday morning, Sept. 21, at St. Marguerite d’Youville Pavilion, with her family by her side, after a long illness.

Born in Pittsfield, N.H., the daughter of Trefele and Madora (Leclair) Poulin, she will always be remembered for always loving to be with her family, even during her long illness.

Survivors include her husband, Roland Rancourt, of Lisbon, whom she married April 27, 1946; two daughters, Roseann Plourde and Rena Roy, both of Lewiston; four brothers, Robert and Bertrand Poulin, both of New Bedford, Mass., Joseph Poulin, of Lewiston and Albert Poulin, of Lisbon; two sisters, Angeline Merrille, of Litchfield and Marie Jane Girouard, of Lewiston; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by one son, Roger Rancourt in 1994, three sisters, and two brothers.
