BUCKFIELD – The Oddfellow Theater will present some “sneak previews” during the Early Evening Show with Mike Miclon at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 1 and 2.
This month’s show will feature sneak preview sketches from the upcoming performance of “The Hunchback of Buckfield, Maine” along with some surprise guests.
The Early Evening Show has been a major monthly event at the Oddfellow Theater since it opened in 1998. They call it “TV outside the box,” with Mike Miclon hosting a frenzied show of comedy, music, juggling and guests.
It’s a live version of a late-night talk show, complete with co-host Amanda Huotari, the Early Evening Show Orchestra and a live studio audience. With news updates, comedy sketches, live “commercials” and interviews, audiences don’t know who will show up or show off at the early evening show. CBS Sunday Morning called it “must-see reality.”
In the past six years, the Early Evening Show has featured more than 100 guests, including Cirque du Soleil performer Steve Ragatz, Pulitzer Prize winning poet Henry Taylor and local weatherman Joe Cupo.
Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $6 for children 12 and under.
Tickets are available at Northeast Bank in Buckfield or people can call the box office at 336-3306; box office hours are Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Fridays from noon to 5 p.m.
The theater is on Route 117. For more information, go online to www.oddfellow.com.
