BRIDGTON – The Bridgton Historical Society will hold its annual fall harvest festival Saturday, Sept. 25, at the Narramissic Farm off Route 107 in South Bridgton. Events will include the sheep dog demonstrations, carriage rides and visits to the 1790 farmhouse. There will be games for children, weaving and spinning demonstrations, blacksmith and woodworking shop, guided scavenger hikes to Bear Trap Mountain, and food.
Admission for the day is $5 per person; $15 maximum per family. A public turkey supper will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. in the old farm barn. Cost is $8 for adults; $4 for children under 12, under 2 free. For information phone 647-4486.
Band to perform at Norway
NORWAY – Pat Blackman of the Butterflies and Ivy Cafe’ announced that the Praise Band from United Baptist Church in Lewiston will perform at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at the caf, 333 Main St. The cafe’ will open at 5 p.m. for guests to taste salads, ice creams and coffees. Benefit supper for band leader
LOCKE MILLS – A benefit supper will be held for Richard G. Felt, band leader for the Richard Felt Band and master of Franklin Grange 124 at 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, at the Jackson-Silver American Legion, Gore Road. The Richard G. Felt Orchestra will provide music for listening pleasure and dancing. Admission will be $6 for adults; $3 for children under 12. The supper is sponsored by members of the band, West Paris Grange, Jackson-Silver American Legion, friends and relatives.
Soccer game times changed
RUMFORD – The starting times of the Mountain Valley Middle School home soccer games, scheduled for Monday, Sept. 27 vs. Carrabec, have been changed. The girls’ game will begin at 4 p.m. with the boys’ game to follow
