RUMFORD – Flora “Tody” A. Landry, 81, widow of Leo Landry, of 20 Congress St., died Friday, Sept. 24, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

She was born in Mexico on Aug. 19, 1923, the daughter of James J. and Calista Ann Philbrick Gallant.

A resident of this community all of her life she was educated in schools in Mexico and was a communicant of St. Athanasius St. John Church.

She had been employed as a cook at St. Athanasius St. John School and previously been employed at the Diamond Match Co. in Peru and the Oxford Paper Co.

She loved life and enjoyed cooking and sharing her wonderful recipes with family and friends, playing cards- especially cribbage, fishing, music and dancing, but above all she loved being with her family.

She is survived by a son, James, and his wife, Donna, of Mexico; two daughters, Linda Deraspe, and her fianc, Ken Dayon, of Worthley Pond, Peru, and Pamela Heath-Richard, and her husband, Mike, of Rumford; four grandchildren, Jamie Smith, Joel Landry, Ryan Deraspe and Jesse Heath; six great-grandchildren, Ben, Emily and Olivia Smith, Paige and Erin Landry, and Lindsey Deraspe; a brother, Norbert Gallant, of Mexico.

She was predeceased by a grandson, Lee Landry, and a sister, Ardice Babineau.
